we believe in total design

By this we mean the act of design should not be limited to one area of a thing. We are interested in how it looks, how it feels, how it functions and how it is made. No detail is too small to consider. How does this code work? How are these two materials joined together? The implementation is as important as the idea itself.

design is for everyone

It should not be something that is inaccessible for the normal person. We all deserve to be surrounded by carefully considered and well crafted things. They should be not just beautiful aesthetically, but also beautiful in the way they function, and the way you use them. We also want them to be affordable!

lumaki is lucas martin-king

And Lucas is lumaki, for the moment. I am an architecture student who is also interested in all things design, the way things work, and how they are made.

One day, lumaki will be more than just me. In fact, lumaki means “to grow” in tagalog. lumaki will be a cosy group of people with different interests, strengths and talents designing together… any thing, every thing.
